"This is the story of a ..." (Nine Days)

She stepped outside, blinking in the red-and-blue glow. A tinge of smoke whispered to the breeze. The alleyway, no -- the whole world was bleary, pulsating, blind with wild uncertainty.
She sunk onto the cold stones at her feet, half-heartedly questioning. In truth, she knew why... but then again, she knew nothing. Her very existence at the moment revolved around this new emptiness -- yet not exactly new.
Her blog was ----- gone. Would it ever return?
The tinge of smoke on the air, bitter and menacing, was her only answer.
